Free Music Friday: Aaron Wright – Go On Yerself

It’s Friday again, which means I’ve had a rummage through the musicy parts of the internet to come up with a track that you can download for free, listen to and enjoy. I’m basically kicking Friday 13th in the face at this stage – there’s too much music of listenable quality for anyone to consider themselves unlucky.

Today’s slice of musical loveliness comes direct from Scottish singer and songwriter Aaron Wright, whose studio band comprises of members from Belle and Sebastian, Camera Obscura and Teenage Fanclub. There’s something about all these Scottish people working together. You have to wonder what they’re planning.

So far so Lightbody – what really sets this track apart is the chorus that is little short of amazing. Coming on like early Beach Boys in their prime coupled with some of the hardest working acoustic guitars in showbiz, you’ve got yourself a song.

Nice horns too. Have a listen below and hit the link for download, entirely gratis.
