It’s summer, don’t you know! And in a move that has surprised literally no-one typing on this keyboard, Vampire Weekend have decided to release Holiday as soon as the sun came out.
It’s actually my favourite track from the really rather enjoyable Contra, which injected a bit of cheer into an otherwise dreary winter when it came out last year.
The video has the band dressed up like Mozart larking about all over the place and that’s pretty much all I need in a video these days. It’s not quite as urgent as the video for Cousins (what I reviewed a while ago on this very blog) but it’s still ace.
