When you’re shopping for a new Goldfrapp video, what sort of things are you looking for? Alison Goldfrapp leading a workout class? Leggy girls in lycra? Vampires and pentagrams all over the bloody show?
If you replied “Yes Mark. That is exactly what I look for in a Goldfrapp video” to the above (and why wouldn’t you), then you won’t be disappointed with the video for Alive. You can watch it by clicking on the video above in time honoured fashion.
I actually rather like the track and the album it’s taken from. Also I like the fact that promotional copies of this track came on cassette. An actual cassette tape! I mean, I couldn’t play it or anything, but that’s still pretty amazing.
In conclusion, I believe that Goldfrapp are at their best when they’re making eighties influenced pop music and anyone that thinks differently needs a good talking to.
Welcome to Bitter Fingers - a blog about popular song. Written by the hand of Mark Higgins, it serves up the very finest in new music, radio shows, spurious comment and #1 jams.

Well I do think differently from your last statement but this video is just genius! I could not stop smiling during it.
