30 Days of Music: 11 A Song From Your Favourite Band
Stardust – Music Sounds Better With You (Youtube, audio only)
Bit of a swizz, this one – I couldn’t tell you who my favourite band was for love or money. Well, maybe money. But not love. Anyway, I’ve picked a song by a band that I like every song from. Lucky that, given that they only made one.
Stardust was the work of Thomas Bangalter from Daft Punk, Alan Braxe from Alan Braxe and Fred Falke, and some vocalist you’ve never heard of. It is amazing and one of my favourite songs of all time, and if you don’t like it you are wrong.
This is the 12″ version, i.e. the good version. It’s a song you’ll probably have a heard a million times, but it’s worth another listen.
Oh, and if you happen to have the deluxe edition of Alive 2007 by Daft Punk (more on that later in this series), this track features very heavily in perhaps the greatest encore of all time. Utterly outstanding.

On this occasion, just before posting it. Otherwise, any time of the day.
