Sia – You’ve Changed (Youtube)

Just a quick update today, given that it’s Boxing Day and I’ve got an awful lot of drinking to catch up with.

Here’s the new track from Sia, probably best known for that one song she did with Four Tet a few years back. It was good, but this one is better.

There’s a bit of New Young Pony Club, Alphabeat or any other number of bands going on in the jerky, angular guitars, but the fact that Sia can actually sing (especially in the extremely catchy chorus) makes this a particularly enjoyable track from that sort of genre.

The video’s a lot of fun as well, a hand-made ode to video games and technology. And she even looks like she’s having fun in it! Man, I appreciate that. I mean, I love I Blame Coco but she sure looks like she’d rather be somewhere else. Sia gets my festive good cheer this year.
