Pyramiddd – Medicine (Youtube)

My previously immaculate electro chops appear to be dropping, because this track originally dropped in April. I mean, I like a bath every now and then, but that’s just ridiculous. Fortunately I’ve managed to get my ears around it now though, given that it’s a rare treat this late in the year.

Pyramiddd were previously called Starfucker, and as such probably alienated themselves from a good deal of radio play. Now rebranded, they’ve re-released Medicine with a fantastic video to boot.

The most surprising thing about them is that they’re from Portland, Oregon rather than Montmartre. This kind of thoroughly enjoyably electro-pop is usually the preserve of the French, so it’s great to hear it coming from an American group. More please!
