Vampire Weekend – Cousins (Youtube)

After the somewhat relaxed sounds of free download Horcharta, it’s nice that Vampire Weekend have got back to their energetic and pretty flipping fast roots. I mean, this track is fast. You’d better hold onto your computer while this one’s going in case it gets carried away.

I have to say I’m very excited for Contra, their sophomore effort which is released on January 11th next year here in the UK. It took me a little while to really get into their first album, but the hype was deserved for once. If Cousins is anything to go by, we’re in for quite the treat.
