Delphic – This Momentary (Youtube)

Dropped the ball on this one, I’m afraid – this track’s been kicking about for ages and I didn’t post about it at the time. What was I thinking! It’s a tune and a half.

I have to admit, I was waiting for the drums and bass to drop in after the intro and the track to go disco crazy, but I’m actually sort of glad it doesn’t. Instead, it builds up nicely, and glides along some glistening beats. Delphic are making a lot of noise lately, and tracks like this are part of the reason.

Coming on like a cross between an understated Klaxons and Editors minus the Ian Curtis vocals, this is an infectious track that has a whole mess of remixes just waiting to take advantage. Great stuff, and it’s going to be interesting to hear more from this lot in the future.
