Le Corps Mince de Françoise – Something Golden (Youtube)

There’s a lot to take in when it comes to Le Corps Mince de Françoise. Firstly, there’s that name. It would be enough if they were French, but they’re Finnish. Go figure.

Secondly, they’re so achingly cool. I mean, they basically make Agyness Deyn look like a tramp in comparison. Ultimately though it’s about the music, and this is a quirky little track that will stick in your ears.

Less obviously quirky (and a great deal less obnoxious) than blogger’s delight Cool and Bored, the song’s got an ethereal, indie, Bat For Lashes type deal going for it. Fortunately it’s one of those those tracks that rewards the listener after repeat plays, and you’ll find yourself humming the melody when you least suspect it.
