I’ve been a fan of Vitalic since I first heard OK Cowboy, his 2006 album containing more than its fair share of delicious electro tracks. To be honest I hadn’t been keeping up with he’s been doing since then, but this popped up and I knew we were onto a winner.
It doesn’t have the dark club urgency of La Rock 01, the track that probably brought Vitalic to the world’s attention, but it does share the vocoded vocals of My Friend Dario, and it’s an interesting new direction to hear him moving in. I particularly like the shimmering synths that flow through the whole song, and the Kernkraft 400-esque synths.
Overall thumbs up, and I’m looking forward to hearing the new album when it drops in September.
