Golden Silver – Arrows of Eros (Youtube)

There’s a few adjectives you could use to describe Golden Silvers, but I’m going to go with relentlessly funky and infectiously catchy. If this song doesn’t take over your summer, I’ll be very surprised.

By now you should probably have worked out the kind of music I like – great pop music well executed. This is very much an example of that sort of thing. A rolling bassline and wobbly synth stabs evoke the sound of Squeeze more than any other band. QUite nice to hear something like this these days rather than rummaging through your record collection.

If you don’t sing along to the “woo-woo” bits, you’re stronger than I am.
